Finally made it out to Redlight Records in Amsterdam. I'd always heard great things but didn't realise how good it was until I got there, no filler at all, pure gold. You know you're somewhere special when the only other person in the shop looking for records is Harvey.
Diego and Jonny's brilliant live performance from the other day after just 2 days jammin'. Also Diego's guest spot on Charlie's NTS show earlier the same day HERE.
If you're in Chicago on Friday pop into this group show I did a print for along with some excellent illustrators, curated by Clay Hickson as part of his new Risograph printing service TAN & LOOSE PRESS.
When you discover a music blog that specialises in New Age, Environmental, Meditation and Relaxation cassette tapes and one of the albums is by a guy called Buddy Comfort then you know you're onto a winner!
Saturday afternoons after a game of football going to visit my Nan and Granddad, eating a sausage sandwich and Kitkat for lunch, sitting on my Grandad's lap reading the Beano and turning on the TV for Des Lynam (or Bob Wilson in this case) and Grandstand.
This sounds like being 12 years old again and I've just completed a Japanese RPG saving some princess from an evil wizard in a castle on my Super Famicom and the end credits are rolling.
Come down to this on Thursday, have a drink, eat some crepes and listen to some nice music. A new monthly night with Apiento, Bahamian Moor, Hampus Time and myself.
I get asked to reprint my Cool In The Pool print quite often and have finally done so. Only 25 copies available and a slightly different colour to the water with the added yellow.
The night before I will be playing records with Hampus at Biddle Bros, he will be playing at the excellent Field Work south of the river at The Grosvenor. Had a great time there a few months back when Field Work put on a live set from Land of Light, sure it'll be another top night! In the mean time check out Hampus' little mix he made to get people in the mood for Friday.
