JIRO'S TOP 50 BEACH BOYS SONGS

If I had to choose just 1 band or artist to listen to for the rest of my life it would be without doubt The Beach Boys, I could listen to those guy's beautiful harmonies all day long. There are a lot of SMiLE bootleg versions of songs here because in my opinion a lot of those versions are better, usually because they sound less polished compared to their later re-worked versions.

The thing with this song is that I don't think anyone other than Brian or Van Dyke Parks actually know how this was supposed to sound. The version on Smiley Smile is a nice pop song but there are elements in this Vigotone SMiLE version that make me believe that SMiLE really could have been the greatest album ever made.

The main reason I prefer this version over the Surf's Up version is it sounds a lot rawer and closer to the live performance Brian did which is my favourite version of this song.

Not only the best Beach Boys song but in my opinion the greatest song of all time.
