RADIATORS - I AM SURE
SAME SONG, DIFFERENT NAMES
PUNKIN MACHINE - I NEED YOU TONIGHT
SUZY Q - TONIGHT
I was only ever aware of the Suzy Q version until NIMH played the Punkin Machine version which was released a year earlier, seems like both were produced by Jerry Cucuzzella just 2 different versions with different names. Some great stuff on NIMH THIS week.

GOLDEN IDOL
You’re watching Classic scene from RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK - "The Idol". See the Web's top videos on AOL Video
I just found out that the eyes of the golden idol at the start of Raiders of the Lost Ark (one of the coolest scenes ever) were supposed to move, how awesome's that! Look at Indy, he's freaking out too.

SOUVENIR - TOMBOY
SOUVENIR - TOMBOY
I've been looking for this song for so long, it's from the pretty terrible 80's teen comedy Tomboy. I love this song because the lyrics have clearly been written by a horny 12 year old who only cares about cars and chicks and that is exactly how all songs should sound if you're gonna make an 80's teen comedy.

GOIN' SOLO
Goin' Solo by Jizz
I always like discovering a song then finding out the artist is also a member of a band I never knew they were in, like the other day I heard a song by a guy called Benoît Widemann, I then discovered he was briefly in the band Magma.
This is a mix of songs by artists who are probably more well known for the bands that they're in (apart from Wally Badarou who isn't really a member of Level-42, but who needs an excuse to use a Wally song).
TRACKLIST
Graham Gouldman - Bionic Boar (10cc)
Benoit Widemann - Tsunami (Magma)
Phil Manzanera - Gone Flying (Roxy Music)
Bill Wyman - Soul Satisfying (Rolling Stones)
Tony Banks - Charm (Genesis)
Wally Badarou - Hi-Life (Level-42)
Chaz Jankel - Glad To Know You (Ian Dury & The Blockheads)
Gabi Delgado - History of a Kiss (DAF)
Stewart Copeland - Don't Box Me In (The Police)
Argent - Hold Your Head Up (The Zombies)
John Phillips - Captain (Mamas & The Papas)
Danny Kirwan - Midnight in San Juan (Fleetwood Mac)
Michael Shrieve - Oasis (Santana)
Harald Grosskopf - Coming Out (Ash Ra Temple)

PALE BLUE DOT
"From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it's different. Look again at that dot. That's here, that's home, that's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."
Carl Sagan, 1990.

MY FAVOURITE (SEXY) INNOVATIVE COMMUNICATION ALBUM COVERS
I love Innovative Communication, they make sexy music, and as well as making sexy music they make great unpretentious artwork which you can pretty much guess straight away what the album will be like because it's usually very sexy. I would say 95% of their artwork has either a setting sun, the ocean, planet Earth Photoshopped really badly, some 80's style computer graphics, fractals, a sexy lady, a sexy car, a man gettin' sexy with his musical instrument, some sexy writing or is just generally sexy (I never knew 9.99DM was a sexy price).
And this is the sexy man who created all the wonderful sexy artwork, Michael Weisser from Software.
